Hello everyone: Hopefully someone can give me a clue as to why I am getting the following event error on the VNC server machine:
Socket Manager: Unknown listener event: 0 The application event log has an Event ID of 1. The VNC server machine is running XP home, The requesting viewer machine is XP Professional. The VNC server machine sits behind a DSL Router which is configured to perform DHCP functions and forward port 5900 to 192.168.0.4 (The VNC server ) Also between the DSL router and 192.168.0.4 is a netgear router which I've tried to configure as a hub or switch only. I turned off DHCP and connected the DSL router and the Netgear through the LAN ports only. No cables to the "internet" port on the netgear. The DSL router is an Actiontec from Qwest communications. I'm not sure what other information might be useful, but will provide as requested.
