Hi Voor, Line-speed estimate stays at 0 bpp until enough data has been received for a realistic estimation to be made. If you have a very simple desktop and are using a fast network the initial screen contents can fail to provide enough data for this. When you Refresh, VNC Viewer gets another full screen update, which is often enough to do the estimation.
The reason you can't switch back from full-colour after the Refresh is that by then VNC Viewer has decided that the connection is fast enough for full-colour, and you have left Auto-select enabled - every time you reduce the colour level, Auto-select overrides your decision. You just need to untick it to be able to switch down.
