Time to buy the full version. I've been trying to get my company to buy it 
anyways... 

And the scrolling is an extreme pain because the software I connect to is 
designed in 1280x1024, and i CONSTANTLY need to scroll because one button 
i will need to click will be in the top left, the next in the bottom 
right, etc etc.

Personal version of RealVNC supports scaling.

Also, what's the big deal about just scrolling w/ the mouse at the edges?
