Hello all; Using UltraVNC 1.01. Trying to remotely connect to a Win98 box from a WinXP box.
Right now both computers are on same LAN for testing purposes. Will try to go from outside the network once I get this much working :) I have VNC running as service on the '98 machine (via the -install switch). When I go to the XP box and try to connect via the Viewer app, I get prompted for the password, but then nothing happens. Viewer seems to just dissapear after I enter the password. Then I tried the web-based route (port 5800) using Firefox. The applet loads and I am again prompted for a password. Then I get the error: "Network error: remote side closed connection". Why would this happen? I had everything working fine between 2 WinXP machines before. Thanks for any input you could provide.
