Hello,
I have a few questions regarding to Java viewer. I use RealVNC 4.1.2 server
on Solaris 9. I use Windows 98 to connect to server, there is JVM 1.4.2_06
installed.

1) why can't I get more than 256 colors with Java viewer? When I click on
"Options" in the connection dialog, only the "Medium" (256-color) option is
available. "Full", "Low" and "Very low" are all greyed out. I connect via
LAN so network bandwidth can't be the issue. When using native viewer, I can
connect in full (16-bit) colour mode without problems.

2) even when I uncheck "Render cursor locally" in the connection options
window, using the Java viewer I still get a "double" cursor, ie. image of
the original X cursor (which is, for example, a vertical bar when placed on
a text editing area) is always overlayed with local arrow-shaped Windows
cursor. It is just a "feature" of Java that can't be got rid of? In native
viewer, there's no such problem - I see only the proper X cursor.

3) the Java viewer in the early versions of VNC did not open a a new window
to display the remote desktop, but displayed it within the browser. Is there
a way to make this version behave so?
Regards,
   Jaroslaw Rafa
