First find out if you got a vnc or a network problem...

I assume you are using port 5900 on your server!

This can be done on the client machine as follows:
in a dosbox (or unix shell) type
telnet servername 5900

If you get a line with "RFB" rthen it's a vnc problem...
If you don't get the RFB line then you got a network problem.
