Hi folks... Thanks for the comments.. I think I figured out my issue.
I re-read some of the other discussions related to 'grey screens' and finally noticed a comment regarding the /tmp/.X11-unix directory... As I installed and started running VNC as my user (not root), this directory was created as my user. I did come across the comment about /tmp/.X11-unix (and /tmp/.X11-pipe) needing to be owned by root. But silly me, I figured, if I own it AND I had reset it to global access, why shouldn't it work. Well, like I said, I re-read that comment and figured I might as well give it a try... Seems that has done the trick! Thanks again for your suggestions! _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [email protected] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
