I'am asking this because sometimes ago i was connected from my office to my father's Pc and while i'm working remotely i saw start the run command of winXP and on the command line i saw someone else that was writing a network command that i stopped immediately after not happened until i was connected. I use hamachi because betwen the router and my father's pc there is a private network so the pc has not a public address becaus i'am a newbie to use vnc and hamachi on the internet i will gratefull to anyone that will answer me and give me the right way to use these instrument securely.
It is possible that while you were setting things up that you opened a hole in the firewall that allows vnc in. You can and should lock vnc to only being available on the hamachi network connection, by going into firewall advanced, selecting hamachi and add vnc tcp 5900. After that go into exceptions and turn off vnc. This should block vnc from accessing the computer except through hamachi. Now if someone is connected to your hamachi network then they should show up in you status program for that network. _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [email protected] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
