I'm trying to connect to my RealVNC server at home from work, but there is a
firewall at my job. I know that ports 20, 21, and 22 are free, so all I have to
do is use that port. But so far it hasn't been working. I changed the port from
the default 5900 on the server to 21, and setup my WRT54GSv4 linksys router to
alow traffic on port 21 like the instructions say on http://www.portforward.com
but it still won't work. I know it can work somehow because my co-worker can do
it using the beta, so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong? I searched
through the mail list, and haven't found anything that can help. My laptop is
Windows XP, as well as my home computer, and I'm using the most recent RealVNC.
