Ed,
The problem, obviously, with setting a startup item in All Users is that
it fires only when a user logs on, rather than at boot-up. Similarly,
entries in the registry only fire upon login.
What you really need is a custom service that will ShellExec() your
connect command -- as far as I know, VNC contains no built-in
functionality to accomplish what you're looking for.
