Subject: Using VNC between two computers, two nats
Hi, my name's Steve, this'd be my first post.
I was wondering what exactly it
would take in order to connect two computers on the same IP range/subnet
mask
with VNC. Right now, I am using a DSL setup from Qwest, their 2Wire
router -
then, I have that connected to a Linksys WRT54G for two wireless clients
that
are on my network. We're all in the same IP range, DHCP is enabled on
the
2Wire and NOT the Linksys...I've also made forwarding rules in both the
2Wire
and the Linksys, for ports 5900 and 5800 (range 5900-5901, 5800-5801),
and
neither the Java viewer OR the VNC Viewer will connect. In fact, it says
it
can't find the host. But, I know that I'm entering the right IP address,
and I
have those firewall rules made, so what else do I have to do? I've even
made
sure to add my machine in the connections list on the server side.
Diagram of
connection:
(192.168.0.1)

|--------192.168.0.72/255.255.255.0 (VNC Serv)
I've been beating my head
against a wall for about two days over this, any help at all would be
greatly
appreciated.
