In the source for 4.1.2 I see this file which seems to handle many of
the compile options for VNCServer.         

unix/xc/config/cf/vnc.def

In the file I see this line:
#devfine BuildGlxExt = NO

While I think it's Gnome's configuration fault for not running on a
non-glx display, is it possible to enable glx here by recompiling this
option with yes?
