Dear All, Can you please elaborate on Wez' statement below?
I can confirm we are using the latest fastpush script from www.darkage.co.uk which is designed for solely v4.1.2 which is the version of VNC we are running. But I am more interested in Wez' second paragraph regarding service-mode and user-mode can you please assist me in how I can get around this? As I need to push this new version of VNC to 1000+ hosts but as indicated in my original post when I push it out it loses the prompt local user to accept connections settings which my manager has explicitly asked to be included. To give you an idea of what I have done so far: 1. I have downloaded and installed VNC Server & Viewer 4.1.2 (free version) on my PC it is running in service-mode. 2. I have then downloaded the latest 4.1.2 fastpush script and edited it to our requirements, within the fastpush folder. 3. I have edited the VNC Config file (within the fastpush folder) to Prompt Local User to accept connections. But when I push it out these VNC Config settings are not set on the client machine, can someone please assist me and let me know what I am doing wrong? As I really need to get the new version pushed out with the additional security settings set. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. Also bear in mind that the fastpush script will set the Service-Mode settings for the server, so if you then run the server in User-Mode, the pushed settings won't have any effect.
