VNC doesn't depend on its name to work. The name is only necessary for
your DNS to resolve it. You've got to see by what name your PC is recorded
in the DNS. From your VNC client PC, do a ping to server PC using the
name. This should have no reply. But if you ping the IP address, you
should have reply.
