Hi Richard, Although Apple Remote Desktop is based on VNC, it is not VNC-compatible, although you may get it to interoperate with VNC if you configure it in the right way.
The release notes for VNC Enterprise Edition refer to Mac OS X Leopard compatibility because VNC Server Enterprise Edition is now Leopard-compatible, allowing you to replace Leopard's ARD server with a standard, fully-compatible VNC server.
