Hello, I'm having a problem connecting to my sister's computer via remote access. She just got a new computer a few days ago and this is when the problem started. Does her machine have to be configured a certain way on the other end for me to get in? I'm wondering in particular about password authentication. Should she check that box or leave it empty? Previously, we had checked off the need for authentication and created a password but I believe that her computer trainer erased the old password from memory two days ago.
Anyway, I don't know what to do now. My sister is blind and can't navigate at all. I sent her a URL that someone on this list kindly gave me to get her new IP address and she had a friend do that but I still can't get in with that address. I get a message that says, "unable to connect to host. Connection timed out (10060)." Would appreciate advice. I don't receive much mail from this list, if any, so could someone reply to my e-mail address as well? Many thanks.
