Well here are my results.

Mobile Desktop, rovemobile.com, works well with VNC providing you set 
Encryption to anything other than 'Always On',  Which rather defeats the 
object of using Enterprise!  
As far as the browser option, I have 6 options on my device - BlackBerry, 
Openwave (WAP), Openwave Gateway, Microsoft IE, MS Pocket IE and  
Netscape.  Unfortunately none of them appears to be able to utilise the java 
plugin.  You get to the point where you would normally see the RealVNC 
graphic and nothing!
Looks like I'm going to have to investigate SSL if I want to run encrypted 
VNC sessions
