Hi,

I am using the vnc.so module under Debian Sarge to get access to the native X
display.

Everything works geat as long as the screensaver (beforelight) does not kick
in.

Ther seems to be no way to deactivate the screensaver over vnc. The screensaver
on the remote machine does not recognize any key events comming in over the vnc
connection.

Is this an intendet beaviour?

Did I forget any configuration option?

Does vnc.so read the /etc/vnc.conf ?

Is there a way to start a script when a new connection is comming in? Then I
could use the "xset s" command to switch off the screensaver. This hook would
be handy for other purposes too, like inform the user from the new connection,
disable some graphics to speed up the connection and so on.

Best Regards

Joachim
