It is interesting to me that I have no memory of that! It looks like a
nice answer to my question (I didn't post the question today, but I
posted almost the same question in 2005). The recommended solution is to
use vncconfig as follows:
vncconfig alwayssetdeferupdatetimer=1
vncconfig alwayssetdeferupdatetimer=0
Will that fix all desktops if run by root?
Can a user of display number "n" do this?:
vncconfig -display :n alwayssetdeferupdatetimer=1
vncconfig -display :n alwayssetdeferupdatetimer=0
