I read Bill Chubb's comments about using VNC more securely. I have a free copy of Hamachi. It works fine except that it works only if someone logs into the host computer. In other word my version does not run as a SERVICE. If you have to remotely maintain an unattended computer this becomes a problem. the IP address does not go into effect till Hamachi is running. The same kind of problem can occur while using PCAnywhere. Yesterday I connected to a PCANYWHERE host which was also running VNC host and NO-IP! (would like to know more how to set this up) I hope that this information might be useful to someone.
