This may sound silly, but is there any chance that her password window goes out of focus (merely behind another window)? Sometimes I run into focus issues, and merely going back to the task bar and clicking on the VNC Authentication window (or whatever it's called) brings it back to the front, and then login can proceed. One way I've seen it happen is if I double-click on the Viewer shortcut within an explorer window kind of slowly, and I end up getting a double-click, followed by another click on the Viewer icon after the Viewer had already presented the password window (without my having realized it). Then the password window gets hidden merely because the explorer window that contained the Viewer shortcut gets focus.

On that server, randomly my user can't connect. She starts VNC viewer and the window to select the server appears, she selects the server and the selection window disappears but the password window never appears. I have to go over and locally access the server. I log the user account out and back in, the icon in the system tray turns from black to white and back on the system where the user tried to log in the password window (from the previous connection attempt, sometimes twice if she tried twice) appears and the user can then connect. Anyone seen this before? Any fixes? _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [email protected] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
