RealVNC on Linux/Unix is still a viable option, with the viewer running
on Windows, including Vista and Win7.
Running the RealVNC service on Windows is no longer viable, and you will
need to move on to a different distribution like the rest of us, such as
UltraVNC. The free version of Real hasn't supported a modern Windows
platform for years, even with XP it never supported Fast User Switching
or RDP access.

Which non-Real options are available for Xvnc server and multi-OS
viewer? I've been using free Real Xvnc server on a Linux box and the
free viewer on XP and Linux. I guess I have to start thinking about
viewers for Vista and 7, but I was thinking the viewer that works on
XP would work on Vista and 7. No?
