Yes you can, technically.  In America, anyways, you can monitor your
computers, house, car, ect., any way that you see fit.  Be careful not to go
overboard, it destroys credibility.  ;)

This is fine, so long as it is done with the informed consent of the people
to be monitored. What I'm saying is, you can't go and do this out of the
blue even if it is your equipment. You need to make it a part of the company
policy which everyone employed must agree to.
