I can't find the value for Password under Default. it has nothing
there. But I did found one VNC password under
HK_Users\.Default\software\ORL\Winvnc3.

I have am install script called REPWD.CMD:

REPWD_vnc.KIX looks like:
WRITEVALUE("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ORL\Winvnc3\Default","Password","***
*************","REG_BINARY")
WRITEVALUE("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ORL\Winvnc3\Default","Password","****
************","REG_BINARY")
The ***** is where the HEX for the new password must go. The way I did this
was to change the password, and then to manually look in the registry. You
will not be able to cut and paste this registry key, because it is a
password so you will have to copy it manually. Notice this changes the
password for both the machine and the current user at the same time.
And then you will need a copy of KIX32.EXE, and I cannot remember where I
got mine from, but its everywhere.

But have you rebooted? I can make it change, but after it
reboots, it seems to revert. So far, I have to do this:
1) Un-install VNC
2) reboot
3) Re-install VNC with new password
Seems a bit drastic, so I MUST be doing something wrong.
Anyone out there know my error?
