I get a VNC Authentication failed error when connecting to a bunch of
machines that I changed the VNC password to. What is weird is that if I
log into that machine, then try to VNC to it, I can succesfully
connect. It is only an issue if the machine is at the login window.
In some instances, it seems that the passwords can be profile specific.
I am a Domain Admin and originally installed and configured VNC as a
startup service with a set password. Over time, other users have logged
in and may have changed passwords, but I should be able to change the
password and then have it work.
Anyone experience this issue before? The machines are pingable and on
the network. VNC can reach them but can't authenticate me using the
password that I set VNC to. All the machines are running 3.3.3 R2.
