In which case someone will have to implement a "virtual keyboard" in the
VNC client. If the client isn't already receiving the keystrokes, because
Windows is swallowing them, how can it possibly send them to the server
unless a synthetic means of entering the keystrokes is provided?
The reason I mentioned the UNIX vncviewer's way of doing things, is because
it describes the only method necessary when the system environment does not
unnecessarily swallow keystrokes. If WinVNC implemented such a system,
arbitrary keystrokes (and/or a virtual keyboard) could be accessed from
such an access key and a contextual menu. The UNIX vncviewer isn't
perfect, BTW - it does miss some keystrokes such as the
Windows/META/SUPER/HYPER key(s).
