I've been using VNC for a LONG time now, but I'm still baffled at the fact
that I _still_ cannot use accented characters through it.

I use a Portuguese character layout on my Windows 2000 box, and vital
characters (like "@", which is AltGr+2 on this layout) are inaccessible to
me when I connect to a Windows VNC server - but work well when I connect to
any Xvnc server on my Linux boxes.

All NT/2000 servers I connect to have the right keyboard/locale settings
(i.e., identical to mine).

Is there a fix for this? Or is it just a long-standing bug?
