Getting a bit off the subject here (PLEASE, could someone say something
about my posting about "VNC freezes and then disappears"; it's unusable
here), but I had some experience porting a 1.4M line project from gcc to
VC++. It went amazingly easily. The VC++ compiler was a lot more strict, so
the vast majority of the job was to fix things that should never have been
allowed in the first place (I hesitate to call them "bugs", since the gcc
code worked fine).
Anyway, if someone wants to to this, the porting part shouldn't be as hard
as one might think.
