Hi,
I'm running Red Squirrel,
http://www.redsquirrel.fsnet.co.uk/
an Acorn Archimedes emulator (old home computer) on Windows98 and using
VNC to view the Windows desktop on a Linux/X Windows machine.
VNC works fine for the applications Windows menus and dialogs but any
keyboard or mouse input to the `emulated screen' window itself is lost.
The author says it is using DirectInput, part of DirectX. I presume
that means all is lost?
It also uses DirectDraw for display but that works most of the time,
although it sometimes fails to update unless I click on the window
causing the whole `emulated screen' to refresh.
If DirectInput can be made to work via some configuration option at the
expense of speed I'd be interested to hear.
Thanks,
Ralph.
