No, it is not an NT only thing. I figured that since you included an excerpt
from the FAQ talking about NT that you were using an NT server. Win 98 is
not a server, it is a network aware operating system that include
peer-to-peer operability and features to connect it to a client-server
network as a client. However, Win 98 also requires patches. You will find
that most operating systems require patches after a while and that vendors
usually provide these free of charge. Windows 98 requires at least service
pack 1 to be Y2K compliant. I am not currently aware of the latest service
pack for Win '98 however I do know that like most Microsoft patches you
should only need to install the latest patch you find. A side from the fact
that you really should install at least service pack 1, why did you ask a
question about NT?
