Dear Sirs,
        I would like to inform you, that Jun-ichiro itojun Itoh
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> from the KAME project created an IPv6 patch for VNC
3.3.3r2 available from
ftp://ftp.kame.net/pub/kame/misc/vnc-3.3.3r2-v6-20010421.diff.gz.

Extract from the README.v6 file:

Xvnc changes:
        by default, waits for VNC connection on IPv4 port. with "-inet6"
        option, it waits for VNC connetion on IPv6 port.

        NOTE: there's no support for X-over-IPv6.

vncserver changes:
        If invoked as vncserver6, passes "-inet6" option to Xvnc.

vncviewer changes:
        capable of making VNC connection over IPv6 network, like:
                vncviewer hoge.v6.my.domain:2
                vncviewer ::1:2         (host ::1, display :2)

        You may have some trouble connecting to a host with both
        A and AAAA records.
                vncviewer localhost:2           (ambiguous, ::1 or 127.0.0.1)
                vncviewer :2 (ambiguous, same as above)
                vncviewer dual.my.domain:2      (ambiguous)
        "-inet4" and "-inet6" is provided for explicitly specifying which
        AF you would like to use.
                vncviewer -inet4 localhost:2
                vncviewer -inet6 localhost:2
                vncviewer -inet4 :2
                vncviewer -inet6 :2

        "-listen6" is provided for listening for IPv6 socket, instead of
        IPv4 socket.

Please consider putting this additions also on the VNC Extras, Add-ons and
modifications page.

Thanks,
        Janos Mohacsi
