The OP is using Socks, but that is also supported by Mindterm.

Please let us know if this worked for you, and how you did it.

BTW, I have an (unpublished) Java VNC applet that can use the
browser configured proxy (HTTP or Socks) as an unsigned applet.
It is only any good with Socks though, so let me know if you'd
like to give it a try.
