Use a source code repository program such as CVS; then you can have
changes mailed to you. (Your idea would be an extremely close
collaboration indeed, and likely wouldn't work very efficiently with
two people, let alone more.) If I had to wait for every other
developer on my project to finish their edit before I could move the
cursor to where I want to write, I would never get any work done!
I think what you have in mind is similar to a shared whiteboard; I
don't think that VNC can really offer that kind of functionality.
