I'm an illiterate and using VNC 3.3.3R9. Please help me!
I have difficulty in connecting to the VNC server thru a VPN
from an outer Java based client (browser).
The situation is as follows:
(1) Server
Internet---Cisco 2503---VPN box---internal hubs---Win95(VNC3.3.3R9)
(2) Client
Win98(IE5)---Personal Cable Modem---ISP(Proxy)---Internet
Here's what to do (the project is):
Connecting to (1) from (2)!
I have opened the port range of 5800-5999 for the Web(HTTP) service
on the VPN box and created the rule for the machine running the VNC.
When I start the browser and type in the URL, I'm prompted to login,
but when I type in the password I get the following message:
"java.net.NoRouteToHostException: Operation timed out"
I don't know why this happens when the port 5900 is already open!
I cannot find the answer of the problem. Please help me!
What interesting is, I can download the login screen only if I use
proxy for browsing !
