Thanks for the response.

I'm looking at the XVNC binary package right now, and while I'm sure it'll
do the job, I'm not looking to put this in any sort of PC.  I'm looking at
low-cost embedded device -- probably an ARM processor (like those available
from www.netsilicon.com).  ARM processors don't have an MMU -- which means
ucLinux (because that makes my development easier).  The RAM and storage
(flash) aren't going to be large enough to put anything massive on it.

I'm not adverse to writing this server myself -- I was just wondering if
anyone had thought about using VNC for headless (and neckless!) devices.
