Hey all,

Q1: My RedHat 7.2 installation has an init script for vnc in the /etc/init.d
directory. I don't fully understand how vnc works using this script or why
you would run it this way instead of using xinetd/inetd and documentation has
been less than helpfull. Could someone please explain the general setup and
reasoning for using the init.d method?

Q2: When using inetd/xinetd, is there a way to cause the viewer to change the
title bar of the session after logging in so it reflects the actual user
account being used? Right now, it says "nobody's x11 desktop ..." My xinetd
is setup to initially use the nobody user account which is why (I assume) that
it says "nobody". However, once I log in as me, I want it to say "jvincent's
x11 desktop . . ." Is this possible?

Thanks,

Jeff
