Greg

Just a few things/queries that might help sort it out for you!
I'm no fundie with W2k, but I assume there is not a lot of difference between
W2k and NT (which I run LAN and WAN).
a.. Is the VNCServer running as a service?
b.. Have you run the reg update from the admin menu?
c.. Have you started the service (assuming it is running as a service).
d.. Run the "service helper" from the admin menu.
e.. If all else fails and assuming the service is running, open the browser
(IE5 on the PC with viewer), and type in http://{your IP for VNCserver}:5800,
if this also fails, then I'd start again and reload from scratch.
I am running both VNC and TightVNC totally standard both on the PC's on my
LAN, and on other remote LANs. BTW I use the browser type connection for
remote connection, as the access is only a 28.8 dedicated line, and although a
bit slow, it is reliable and secure.

Hope this is some help to you.
