Hi all -

Windows XP Pro, and presumably the other versions too, uses Terminal
Services to supply the console. Out of the box, when the screensaver
kicks in and is then disturbed, the machine reverts to the "Welcome"
choose-a-user screen. This causes VNC server to crash when accessed,
presumably since it's had it's screen kicked out from under it!
(3.3r9, run as an application)

The simple workaround is to go to Display, Screen Saver, and untick
"On resume, display welcome screen".

Which is a pity, since I rather like the choose-a-user screen, and
it's handy for the way we use the computer I'm VNCing to (it's thej
desktop in the living room, often accessed by me from work, and by my
SO to vnc to her own machine in the attic!). Never mind, eh?

        Cheers - Jaimie
