Hello,

I already found the answer the the attached posting (VNC web site came
back up).  The answer is that the "-cc 3" option specifies an
8-bit pseudocolor display, and it doesn't seem to be necessary to put the
viewer in "8-bit pixels" mode.  Thanks anyway.

P.S.  However, the viewer that connects to the pseudocolor viewer
seems to be incompatible with ZoneAlarm firewall version 2.6.362
at first.  The viewer dies with the message "Error while waiting for
server messages".   This seems to be fixed by putting including the
server host in the "local zone" for the firewall.
