I had this problem until (Sorry Trividia) I loaded the AT&T version of VNC. Somehow, the Trividia VNC does not work well with Win98 systems. I also had to update to the latest version of Iexplorer. Netscape worked better but I still got java connect problems
When I right click on vncviewer.exe, Properties. the version number that comes up is 3.3.3.3 !!!! I have had great trouble keeping these different variants of VNC in place! The Java stuff worked fine until Trividia came along! Hope this helps ceri Hankey PS I supect that the DSL router has NOTHING to do with the problem! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Lanter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, January 10, 2002 6:17 AM Subject: Can connect to vnc server with java client but not vnc-viewer!! > I have a windows 98 machine running vnc version 3.3.3r9 that sits behind > a linksys DSL router.
