I don't recall that option in any of the Windows vncviewers I've tried (att, tight, tridia). I've also noticed this problem when attempting to copy from some Xvnc. Like the FAQ said, copying from xterms and emacs works just fine. I also noticed one can copy and paste from one X window to another. The workaround I use is to paste into an xterm running vim or cat > /dev/null then paste to whatever Win app I want. > And for whatever could be in a clipboard which is not necessarily compatible > between host and client it may be desirable to check for the format and if its > just simple text just go ahead and send it over _as if it was typed > manually_... If not - I don't know that exceeds my knowledge of these intimate > system specifics of the various combinations thinkable... The FAQ #25 also mentions autocutsel that automatically syncs changes between the two clipboards. I'll give that a try sometime soon. Perhaps this will save me from having to paste to an xterm before pasting to a Win app. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the line: 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
