George,
What "authentication error" are you getting. Does it happen before or after
you enter your password?

You may wish to reset your password. After you do you will have to restart
WinVNC before the settings will take effect.

Jacob,

The version is 3.3.3 R9, while the Win 2000 setup on my laptop which works
is v 3.3.3 R2. Maybe I should go retro!

I just followed the installer, where there were no options for all/service
and it got installed as a service.

I'll see if I can download 3.3.3 R2 to see if that cures it.

Regards

George
