Hi Alan, I have been using pcAnywhere to synchronize data between my office and home for the last 10 years. Now, I installed DSL internal modem to my office computer. It seems that there was a sort of software conflict between pcAnywhere and DSL (from Qwest). I can connect to playwear in the remote computer but the connection drops.
Then, somebody suggested me to try WinVNC. It is hard to figure out how it works. The version which I loaded is 3.3.3R9, which I believe the latest version. (My office computer is run under Win98SE + DSL; my home computer is run under WinXP + 56k Dialup modem). I will check again tomorrow. So far, I do not remember seeing "Option" on server. Let me communicate with you tomorrow. Many thanks. Regards, James PS: I tried Remote Administrator. That works fine but it lacks "sync" feature like pcAnywhere. But WinVNC is created by ATT, I really would like to use WinVNC. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the line: 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
