Hello,

You can use JDK1.2pre-v1, but a new release (pre-v2) is coming in a few
days. Some networking-bugs are solved in this release. I didn't test the
new pre-release on VNet yet, but I expect no problems. 
If you are in for some testing, you can install JDK1.2pre-v1 and check if
everything works fine. If this is not the case and if you report eventual
problems very soon, we can fix them for the 1.2-prev2 release.
