hey thanx for lotsa info, specailly the stuff about running on
middrange machines which is what ive always done for html stuff- gone
to the friend with the family computer to try out new things.. cause
feedback from developers is sorta skewed when they are playing with
350megs ram etc and lots addons.. im just starting to get some
twinking of an idea of how it fits together..
and yeah i am limiting avatars to ones of my choosing..
ive been looking at the world thru a pc for a few days to get a
feeling for all the stuff i cant see on the mac.. and i sorta like
the way that islands has that graphical menu for the stuff that
(supposedly) drags and drops into the scenes..i guess it would be
easy to have a graphical version of pick your avatar b4 you get to
the join the world window..
couldn't get vnet up on the osx server, so the person who is doing
this for me is trying it on an old sgi that was sitting round at
school, dunno how far hes gotten yet tho.
