suggestions:
1) initial viewpoint a loooong way from geometry after logon
make sure the following is the first viewpoint
in the outermost WRL file
(modify position/orientation to suit your local needs)
(this file is named EAISimple.wrl in the distribution):

2) make the viewpoint "bank" along with the helicopter...
