Perhaps I am misreading [1]this post at Crooked Timber, but, if I'm
not, it equates 1) plots to murder innocent people with 2) the seizure
and interrogation of individuals believed to have knowledge of future
plans to murder thousands of innnocent people in an effort to save
their lives. Is it just me, or does the post make the claim that the
two are "equally awful" and that they make the U.S. "a threat
comparable to that of Al Qaeda"?
