Law Firms to Monitor and Report Race, Gender, Sexual Orientation:
http://volokh.com/archives/archive_2005_05_08-2005_05_14.shtml#1115951856

According to [1]this story, sixty major New York law firms have agreed
to create a database of the race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual
orientation of their lawyers. The law firms have agreed to give each
of their corporate clients regular reports not only of the hours
worked for their clients -- the usual billing statements -- but also
of the hours worked broken down by the lawyers' race, ethnicity,
gender, and sexual orientation. If I understand the story correctly,
the purpose of the extra report is so clients can tell whether they
approve of the race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation of the
lawyers working on their cases. If the mix isn't to a client's liking,
the story suggests, the firm will be "history."

   only.
