Eric Muller has [1]an interesting post on Is that Legal? on the
representation of Japanese detainees in World War II. It provides some
interesting historical perspective on the Stimson flap. Notes Muller,
"In World War II, the federal government and the American Bar
Association explicitly called on American attorneys to undertake the
legal representation of internees of Japanese ancestry -- citizens and
   aliens alike."
