According to [1]this story, some Texas lawmaker is trying to rewrite the history of the hamburger. Texas State Represenative Betty Brown is offering a resolution claiming the hamburger was invented in Athens, Texas. In reality, however, the hamburger was invented around 1900 in New Haven, Connecticut, at Louis' Lunch. How do I know? Because the guy at Louis' Lunch told me.
